4th Annual ALYP Charity Golf Tournament·June 14, 2027

About us

A small board with a long memory.

ALYP exists because a group of Coloradans decided the habits that build a citizen are worth paying for, and then went out and raised the money.

Who we are

An organization that writes checks, not curriculum.

The American Legacy Youth Program is a Colorado 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We raise money in the Pikes Peak Region, Colorado and grant it to youth programs that teach leadership, patriotism, civic responsibility, and service.

We are deliberately not another program competing for the same volunteers. The organizations we fund have decades of practice, trained adult leaders, and waiting lists. What they usually lack is money for uniforms, entry fees, travel, and equipment. That is the gap we fill.

The work runs on an annual charity golf tournament, sponsorships from local businesses, and direct gifts. The board is made up of regular people from around here, neighbors with day jobs and families who give their evenings to this because they think it matters.

Mission

Empowering youth to become future American leaders by promoting patriotism, leadership, civic responsibility, and community service, instilling the knowledge, discipline, and values needed to strengthen our nation and uphold the American spirit.

Patriotism

Respect for country and the people who serve it, taught through ceremony, service, and example rather than slogans.

Leadership

Real responsibility in front of real people, so a young person learns to speak, decide, and carry the outcome.

Civic Responsibility

An understanding of how government, community, and citizenship actually work, and where a teenager fits in all three.

Community Service

Time given to neighbors without a scoreboard, which is where character stops being an idea and becomes a habit.

Leadership

The board

Neighbors who volunteer their time to keep this thing running.
